Experience

For my freshman Spanish class, I was one of many students to tutor children of Hispanic ethnicity with the various subjects that they were taking, such as English, spelling, Math, and writing. I think that one of the most important things in life is to learn, and I've always wanted to be someone who can teach others, and help them gain the knowledge necessary for success and happiness in life. I've taken rigorous classes that I believe make me qualified to be a helpful tutor. I also understand what it's like to need help, so I certainly know how to approach a situation in a way that won't belittle the student. I have worked with various groups such as the Special Olympics and have tutored children who have English as their second language, which gives me a diverse background of experience. I've worked at an Ice Cream shop for the past 5 years, worked at a busy restaurant for 1 year, and am now a bank teller for the summer. Because of all this experience with face to face interaction, I'm very good at communicating with people in a positive manner.

I LOVE to read. I read in my spare time, whether its educational or pleasure. I love being with my family, even though they live 900+ miles away from where I go to school. I love helping others, and have always wanted to have a career which would allow me to work in a school. My life goal is to be a guidance counselor in a high school. I also love sports, and could talk football, basketball or hockey with anyone. I'm very well rounded, motivated, and dedicated to anything I set my mind to.
